A superb set of six antique Victorian oak masonic dining chairs. They were made in England, and date from around the 1880-1900 period. They are of superb quality and have an extremely interesting design. The back rests are arched in the typical masonic style, and each chair has a unique carved masonic symbol. They are all solid oak, sitting on turned legs with stretchered bases. The arm rests are nicely scrolled and the backs have interesting sloped supports running from the top of the arch to the seats. We have had the chairs re-polished, and the seat cushions have been newly made in a cream cotton fabric. If someone wanted to recover the cushions in a fabric of their choice, it wouldn’t cost much, because half the work has been done now. The condition is excellent for their age. Width 22 inches, 56cm Depth 26 inches, 66cm Height 44 inches, 112cm Seat Height 18 inches, 46cm Seat Height with Cushions 20 inches, 51cm
