A stunning Masons Pottery coffee set collection, from their famous “Vista Pink” Ironstone China transfer pattern. (Nb: Ironstone China, commonly known as just ‘Ironstone’, is a type of vitreous pottery first made in the UK in the early 19th century. It is often classed as Earthenware although in appearance and properties it is similar to fine Stoneware). Masons “Pink Vista” Ironstone pattern, was first produced c1893 in a small number of colours. The pink transfer ware proved to be the most popular colour and was made until the late 20th Century. The pattern is easily recognisable by the depictions of castles and stately homes, with grand park views and vistas, and large scale Oak leaf borders. Charles James Mason was a world-renown expert in creating ceramic transferware patterns, a technique in which a design is engraved onto a copper plate, inked, and then transferred onto a ceramic surface. The process allows for intricate and detailed designs to be reproduced very efficiently on to pottery before final firing and some of the most iconic and popular designs have come from Masons in this way, including this highly appealing Vista pattern set! This collection includes: 1 x magnificent coffee pot, 1 x ½ pint milk jug, 1 x sugar bowl, 6 x coffee cups and 6 x coffee saucers. Payment - We Accept: - Debit / Credit Cards. - Bacs Transfer.
