Pair of Early 19th Century Mahogany Candle Boxes

These are a pair of early 19th Century antique mahogany candle boxes. Each box has a very attractive carved upstand at the top and then has a bevelled front panel which slides up and can be removed as necessary. They were probably designed to stand on a sideboard or table but could be easily used as hanging boxes. They are in excellent condition and they both have a very good, original old colour.
